Melissa graduated from University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies.
She has experience preparing wills, advance medical directives, powers of attorney, and serving as lead paralegal for guardianship and conservatorship petitions. Prior to working in the field of elder law Melissa assisted with landlord / tenant matters, personal injury cases, and contract disputes. Melissa is also a member of the Board for the Richmond Council Navy League.
Melissa was led to the field of elder law to help families prepare to care for their aging loved ones. She experienced first-hand some of the many struggles families go through as her family cared for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease, and one with cancer.
For fun, Melissa and her husband love to visit wineries and distilleries, hunt for treasures at estate sales and thrift shops, spend time with family, and cheer on the VCU Rams in basketball and soccer.
