In 2012, Owen transitioned to private practice opening her own law firm, Owen I. Conway, PLLC. Owen gained valuable experience and perspective as a defense attorney as she continued her trial practice and represented defendants charged with crimes ranging from misdemeanors to serious felony offenses in Virginia courts. In 2016, she was selected to serve as a defense attorney for the Henrico County Drug Court, where she volunteered her time and effort to help defendants escape the current heroin/opioid epidemic, as well as other drug addictions. Owen has volunteered as an instructor at the Henrico County Police Department and is a member of both the Virginia State Bar Association and the Henrico County Bar Association.

Owen’s proudest accomplishment is raising her three wonderful children! She and her husband, Steve, have a ten year old son and two daughters who have graduated from Christopher Newport University and the University of Virginia (Go Captains and Hoos!)

Owen enjoys volunteering at her son’s school and teaching Sunday school. Both of her daughters have recently married and she now has two terrific sons in law as well. Owen loves spending time with her growing family whether it is relaxing at home or traveling, hiking, and attending many sports events. Owen is looking forward to continuing her passion of working closely with clients and helping them navigate the legal process of planning for their care needs and accomplishing goals of caring for their loved ones.
