Nancy Lentz was born in New York and moved to Virginia as a child. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education from Radford College. Because of her interest in the legal field, she served as a paralegal in a number of legal specialties, including elder law.

In February 2005, Nancy was given the opportunity to re-focus her career when she joined the staff of the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Richmond. As Family Care Coordinator, she shared her compassion for helping people diagnosed with all forms of dementia and their care partners by facilitating support groups, visiting families affected by this disease, managing the respite scholarship program, providing education to the general public about Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias, and offering guidance and support through the Alzheimer’s Helpline. She retired from the Association in June 2017 and has maintained her connection by continuing to facilitate a number of support groups as a volunteer.

Shortly after retirement, Nancy was offered another opportunity to work in elder law with Herndon Law, P.C. where she works part-time with a focus on fiduciary matters.
